What can we say about our FREEDOM? That's not been said a thousand times? A new independence day comes, and the old one goes away, he who knows the past knows nothing, he who knows the dream knows it all...We know we dream, we dream for freedom and we achieved it by works of those who beam. He knows why; i mean 'God' we stood up gazing at the British flag when suddenly the light went off...for some moments i wondered, i only wondered whats gonna happen. next the light came up again (the British flag was no more) all we saw was a new risen glorious flag of green white and green our freedom at last! Really? we rise up laughing with the light, but now We lie down weeping with the night. We hugged the flag but now it stings, we kiss the barge and now it stinks. Millions die every year, thousands die every day, papa die for their pay, mamas cry for their day. Broken heart, we love u with a shattered and fragmented heart, but still We live to attest of your past discipline, we still love u, we woo we pray to see u rise just one day. we cry for u, We wreathe our prides just for u, we sheet our dead and pay our dues. We laugh, we weep, we hope you'll rise again, we fear, we quake, we dare for our sake... And let the sweetness and the burden of u-'NIGERIA' be laid upon us for we deserve it, for we are NIGERIA...{composed by Manuel clouder}San Cata
